Facts about COVID-19

  • it is transmitted via respiratory droplets (coughing, sneezing)

  • a respiratory droplet can travel around 1.5m

  • it can survive on smooth hard surfaces for up to 3 days

  • at risk groups include those of advanced age, having a chronic health condition such as diabetes, being pregnant, being on chemotherapy or having a poor immune system.

  • This is why the best way to avoid COVID-19 is to wash your hands with soap and water, rubbing between fingers for at least 20 seconds.

  • social distancing of 1.5m

  • cough/sneeze into your elbow rather than your hand which can then contaminate a surface if you have COVID-19

  • stay home if you have any respiratory infective symptoms

  • if soap and water not available, use hand gel.

Queensgate Psychology, Psychologists and Queensgate Medical Centre Staff wish you a safe next few months .

Please stay calm, practice social distancing, wash your hands and be kind to one another
